Going in Style

Going in Style

Oscar winners Morgan Freeman ("Million Dollar Baby"), Michael Caine ("The Cider House Rules," "Hannah and Her Sisters") and Alan Arkin ("Little Miss Sunshine") team up as lifelong buddies Willie, Joe and Al, who decide to buck retirement and step off the straight-and-narrow for the first time in their lives when their pension fund becomes a corporate casualty, in director Zach Braff's comedy "Going in Style." Desperate to pay the bills and come through for their loved ones, the three risk it all by embarking on a daring bid to knock off the very bank that absconded with their money.

Cinema

Although the prime function of the theatre is to provide stage productions, we also show films.

In 2001 Dawlish Repertory Company made a successful bid to The Lottery “Awards for All” Scheme to fund the purchase of cinema equipment. It was felt that we could offer the town a cinema; something which has been missing for many years.

The facilities in the theatre have been expanded to offer full surround sound. In January 2017 the projector was upgraded to a Hitachi 5000 lumens projector, and a digital cinema mixer was installed.

The Box Office opens on the morning of the films from 10:00am to 12:00pm for callers in person and telephone bookings.
