Teignmouth & Dawlish Drama Festival of One Act Plays

The newly re-named Teignmouth & Dawlish Drama Festival (TADDfest) is now in its 22nd year and is open to any amateur drama group, principally in Devon: both senior and youth groups are welcome.

A competitive festival for one-act plays, run under the same rules as the All England Theatre Festival (AETF) to which it is affiliated.

The Festival sees the preliminary rounds of the Western Division of the All England Festival. This year there will be entries from Bovey Tracey Players, Broadclyst Theatre Group, Teignmouth Touring Theatre Company, The Drama School (Exeter and Ashburton), Stage by Stage Academy (Exeter) and Dawlish Repertory Company.

The plays will be adjudicated by Mike Kaiser GoDA.

Winners from this round will go straight on to the Western Area Semi Final in May, which is also being held in Dawlish this year. The successful teams from there will go on to the English Final, and eventually to the British Final of this exciting competition.

The Festival is a member of the National Drama Festival Association (NDFA) who also organise the British All Winners Festival.

The 2018 Festival is sponsored by Bill & Taylor, Optometrists, Teignmouth.
